Klawego provides general, organizational information and tools related to bureaucratic processes in Germany (including residence permits, contracts, housing, and finances). This content does not replace individual legal advice from a lawyer, tax advice, or binding guidance from an authority. For decisions with legal significance, a qualified professional or the relevant authority should always be consulted.

Laws, deadlines, and procedures can change. We make an effort to keep content up to date but cannot guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.

Use of the application is at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for damages arising from the use of the information provided.

AI-generated explanations of letters
The letter decoder uses artificial intelligence to explain documents in plain language. Explanations are generated automatically, can be incomplete or wrong, and are provided for general understanding only. They are not legal, tax or immigration advice, do not assess your individual legal situation, and do not replace advice from a lawyer, tax advisor, advice centre or the issuing authority. You are responsible for checking every date, amount and requirement against the original letter.
Your uploads
Only upload letters addressed to you, or that you are entitled to share. Do not upload documents containing other people's private data unless you are allowed to.
Age and AI provider eligibility
Klawego accounts and AI features are intended for people aged 18 or older. This age requirement is also applied because the AI provider's terms of use apply to adults. AI features may be unavailable until the required provider terms and billing are configured.
Klawego Agency
The Klawego Agency is an optional, separate service. It helps you organise and follow travel and visa matters. It does not guarantee any decision by an authority, embassy, airline or other third party. It is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. The scope of the work and any fees are agreed with the agency separately before work starts. Please give correct and complete information and check every document yourself before it is submitted. You can end the service and withdraw your consent at any time.
